Barnstead Inn

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Barnstead Inn in Manchester, Vermont. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality that made us feel right at home. The inn itself is charming, cozy, and beautifully maintained, with comfortable rooms and thoughtful touches throughout. The location is perfect. Its close to everything in Manchester, yet peaceful and relaxing. We especially loved the inviting common spaces, which were perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. Breakfast each morning was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, and it was clear the hosts truly care about their guests’ experience. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Manchester!

Oh my goodness, don't even hesitate to book a stay on this property! Barnstead Inn is just perfect in every way. The grounds are stunning and the rooms are perfection. We stayed in the Maple Suite and it was gorgeous. From the details in the decor to the table and couch to the comfortable bed, it was such a treat to stay in. Breakfast each morning was laid back and delicious. The tavern is a great place to grab some bites and a drink in the evening and enjoy by the fire pit. No detail is left undone. The location is so convenient...everything from restaurants to the Northshire Bookstore is just a quick walk away. A true highlight of our stay were the two Inn resident dogs. They were the sweetest and cured missing our own pup! We cannot wait to return to Barnstead. I can't imagine ever staying anywhere else!

The Barnstead Inn is truly something special. We just returned from a romantic getaway celebrating our 10-year anniversary, and this was our third time staying here...which says a lot all by itself! Every single visit has been exceptional, and this one may have been our favorite yet. From the moment we arrived, every attention to detail was met. Megan and Tracy made us feel incredibly welcome, warm, and genuinely cared for throughout our stay. Their hospitality goes above and beyond, and it’s clear they love what they do. And a special shoutout to Tracy for making some fantastic drinks at the onsite bar which is such a perfect way to unwind and add to the experience. The atmosphere is romantic, cozy, and peaceful, making it the ideal place to relax and reconnect. The Barnstead Inn isn’t just a place to stay, it’s an experience. We adored our visit and stay at Barnstead Inn. Everyone was so kind and welcoming. Our room was cozy. We felt perfectly at ease. The food was delicious and the environment was everything we could have hoped for and more. Thank you to everyone there. We really appreciated you all and enjoyed our stay very much!

We just completed our 3 night stay this past long holiday weekend. The room, accommodations and entire staff were very helpful and courteous. The Inn and property are beautiful. Breakfast was always great with coffee and other items readily available in the main office and bar areas. The staff, as noted above, and management, were terrific, answering our questions and providing guidance and suggestions as needed or requested. The location was perfect, affording us easy access to Manchester center where so many nice shops, stores, restaurants, bars and cafes could be found. One could choose to even walk into town were she or he so inclined but plenty of parking available even during this very busy weekend And if hiking is one’s thing. plenty of places to visit of various degrees of difficulty or for just walking and sightseeing. Lastly, the resident canines, Lucky and King, were, as advertised, so darn sweet and themselves entertaining. As dog lovers, we could fully appreciate their presence and enthusiasm. Just a wonderful time at a great place that we expect to visit again!

This is a very special place. My wife and I got lucky and were able to last minute get a room. The owner could not have been nicer and we felt welcomed even on the phone call. The rooms are beautiful, updated and cozy exactly what we expected for our ski weekend. Even the food was excellent. The details matter in a service hotel business and they nailed every single detail. We will be back!

Thank you for an amazing stay! The service was excellent from start to finish! The owners and staff are all exceptional, very professional, friendly, and make you feel like home. The cleanliness of the hotel really stood out; the rooms and common areas were spotless and well maintained. The location is another big plus, making it very convenient to get around and close to key attractions, stores, restaurants etc. Overall, this place offers a great balance of comfort, quality service, and convenience. Can't wait to visit again!

Nicely renovated BnB with multiple buildings, fire pits, a pool, a sauna, a small Tavern. Friendly and attentive staff. Breakfast was included in the Tavern but dinner was an additional fee. There was a water fountain in the main house with a coffee station that also had teas and hot chocolate. It was very short drive to town and other attractions. We really enjoyed our stay!
